Studio Mercy collaborated with Mehrai Design to reimagine this extraordinary private chalet in the Austrian Alps - a 20,000 sq ft space designed to set a new benchmark in Alpine luxury.

The ambition was clear: to create one of the world’s leading ski chalets, pairing bold, confident design with a sense of intimacy and ease. Every detail was considered, with a deep focus on how the client and their family would live, relax, and host within the space. Pieces were hand-selected from across Vienna, Paris, London and New York, ensuring a refined but globally attuned point of view.

Delivered in just nine months, the project was both intense and deeply rewarding - a true studio-wide effort. The result is a multi-award-winning chalet recognised by the World Luxury Hotel Awards and nominated for an AHEAD Award. Arula Chalet balances presence with warmth, drama with comfort - and feels as effortless as it looks, from the moment you ski in.
